Criminal Law - Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence  is classed as any incident or pattern of incidents that can be seen as controlling, coercive, threatening behaviour, violence or abuse, that happens between anyone aged 16 or over whoare or have at some point been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality. 

The abuse can come in the following forms, but is not limited to them:

  • Psychological
  • Physical
  • Sexual
  • Financial
  • Emotional
